canker sores & endo?

Question:
I wonder if anyone else has a problem with canker sores, adult acne & endo? 7 years ago when I quit smoking, within 5 days I started having problems with canker sores which is still a problem today. I have between 6 - 12 at a time in the roof of my mouth, inner lips, tongue, and now in my throat. I've been to countless doctors, none of whom were able to help me with them. A dermatologist wanted me to stay on antibiotics the rest of my life to treat my adult acne (the canker sores disappeared during the time I was on tetracycline
& smz-tmp), but I don't think that's a good idea, so stopped the antibiotics a few years ago.
The reason I'm asking you is when I had my last bout with ruptured ovarian cysts, I didn't have a period for 60 days, and during that time, my acne and canker sores pretty much cleared up. Then as soon as my period started, they came back, full force. Anyone else out there have this problem? If so, do you know of any solutions for it? Thanks! BTW, I don't take BCPs, because every one I've tried has either made me nauseous or made the acne worse.

Answer:
She did some great research and found some advice for chronic canker dore suffers that has virtually stopped all my problems. (I had been suffering with at least one and usually two or three in the week after my period.) The trick is to find a toothpaste that is free of sodium lauryl sulfate. This is not easy because it is added to most toothpastes but it apparently causes canker sores in people sensitive to it. The web page suggested a toothpaste called Rembrandt's Canker Sore but it is not available where I live. However, by closely reading ingredient listing, I found a toothpaste that works for me. It took a couple of months to be completely free, but I haven't had a canker sore in several months.
