Question:
I have a sore throat and it seems that I caught a cold. It's not very
serious and I'm not going to see a doctor. But I really need some ways to
relieve the pain. So can anyone recommend any herbal therapies for it,
e.g. herbal drinks or eating some kinds of herbs?
By the way, I grow mints, lemon balm, rosemary, thyme and lavender in my
garden. Therefore, if there are any remedies using these herbs as
ingredients, then they will be most welcomed.
Answer:
I've got this great book that i'm getting the info i'm giving to you from called the herbal home remedy
book- the herbs that you have a good remedy would be a tea made from peppermint and/or lemon balm. thyme is also
good for colds. you can also take a bath in one of the previous herbs "to induce perspiration and eliminate body toxins." try making
peppermint-thyme cough drops for the sore throat. try these for now and i'm sure more expperienced people from this message board will
give you other ideas to try. good luck and let me know what works best for you so i can try the same if i get a cold this winter
