Does anyone have any alternative ideas about controling the severity or
prevention of cold sores?
Answer:
I have had good luck with lysine and an ice cube. I take the lysine as
soon as the itching starts and put an ice cube on the area until it is
numb. If it doesn't stop it in its tracks, it usually keeps the sore to
a minimum in size and duration for me.
There is an all-natural product by Enzymatic Therapy called "Herpilyn".
It is very effective against cold sores.
I also recommend Lysine. Both of these products can be found in most
health food stores.
